Creating A Truly Non-Toxic Nursery Is Now In The Bag

Many parents are concerned with providing a healthy home environment for their babies and kids. According to the EPA, the average home contains as much as 25 pounds of toxic cleaning products, with the air in our homes being 3 to 7 times more chemically polluted than outdoor air, pollution and all. With the Eco-Me Baby Kit, parents can make their own non-toxic Baby Room Spray, chemical-free Baby Clean Wipes, and a 100% natural, chemical-free Diaper Pail Freshener, by mixing white vinegar, water and baking soda with the included Baby Blend Essential plant oil. Each Baby Kit contains reusable scoops, mixers, jars, spray bottles, flushable baby wipes, and a super-soft hooded baby towel--100% Cotton, of course.

We're delighted to have discovered the sustainably-designed Teach Me Time Alarm Clock. Teach Me Time! is an adorable child's bedside alarm clock, time-teaching tool and dual-color nightlight all in one. The collective features of this educational toy are designed to grow with your child from the day they are first out of the crib. The wonderfully interactive and versatile Teach Me Time! talking alarm clock provides color changes on the clock face to signal appropriate wake-up time for young children, as well as delightful alarms to announce a specific rising time. Digital and analog readings provide older children with a more specific learning experience, along with an interactive time-teaching game with leveled difficulty. This delightfully designed appliance is user-friendly for both parent and child. Controls for parents are well-concealed; power sources AC and DC; alternative color bezels for clock face. The cute design will be equally appropriate in your baby's nursery or in the older child's room. We think you'll be as impressed as we are with the thoughtfulness that has been put into the creation of this clock. Be careful, though. The kids might catch you playing with those cute, functional toes.

Reduce Infant Exposure to Carcinogens

The Environmental Protection Agency considers seven of the top 15 pesticides used on cotton in 2000 in the United States as "possible," "likely," "probable," or "known" human carcinogens (acephate, dichloropropene, diuron, fluometuron, pendimethalin, tribufos, and trifluralin). In its recently updated cancer risk guidelines, the <a href: "http://www.epa.gov/">EPA explicitly acknowledges the importance of childhood exposures. The Agency concluded, after a review of 23 studies of early life exposures to cancer-causing chemicals, that carcinogens are typically 10 times more potent for babies than for adults, and that some chemicals are up to 65 times more powerful (EPA 2005).
In response to these startling statistics, Jennifer Leaphart started Baby Blend Tees with the goal of designing organic infant and toddler t-shirts that she would want to buy for her own children. The super-soft organic onesies sport whimsical designs and slogans such as "World's Cutest Alarm Clock" and "Night Owl", and are sure to make new parents smile. Each onesie comes packaged in an earth-friendly coffee bag and makes a perfect eco-friendly baby gift. With all of the carcinogens that we are exposed to on a daily basis, it only makes sense to do everything you can to protect your newborn.
